soulful music, glittering saris, tottering turbans and a surprisingly
rich cuisine. A vast and wonder-laced state
with treasures more sublime than those of fable, the Land of the
Kings paints a bold image. Compiling a must-see list in Rajasthan can
cripple the fussy traveller: Meherangarh looming over bright blue
Jodhpur the giant gold sandcastle at Jaisalmer, the palaces and
pageantry of Udaipur,... the
storybook whimsy of Bundi and the havelis sprinkled through Shekavati – see

A relaxed ride on small roads takes us to Luni where we stay at the Fort that´s been converted into an heritage hotel. |
| 8 |
On our way to today's Hotel, the Royal Castle in Ghanerao, we stop at the marvelous Jain Temple in Ranakpur. |

On roads that hardly see tourists me move towards the tiny village of Bambora where we stay once more in ancient walls... |
| 12 |
...further along Rajasthan´s backroads we ride to Bassi. |

Another juwel in the crown on this tour. Bundi is a beautiful, non-touristy step back in time. |

| 15 |
...Ranthampore National Park, abundant wildlife and maybe a Tiger ? |
| 16 |

| 17 |
The "Ghost Town" Fathepur Sikri and a highlight of the tour, the Taj Mahal, the monument of love. A Bus and the "Grand Trunk Road" leads us back to Delhi. |
